R Madhavan recently opened up about guiding his son Vedaant Madhavan, a celebrated Indian freestyle swimmer and a rising sports star. Vedaant boasts an impressive record as a five-time gold medalist at the Malaysian Open, a gold and silver medalist at the Danish Open, and a bronze winner at the Latvian and Thailand Open. He also secured a commendable fifth-place finish at the Commonwealth Youth Games.

Speaking to Miss Malini, Madhavan shared how proud he is of his son’s achievements, while also making him aware of the privileges and responsibilities that come with fame. “It feels really proud when common man comes up and says we like your work but we are so proud of you because of Vedaant,” said Madhavan. “But I had to tell him that you know your life unfortunately or fortunately is going to be privileged because you’re my son.”

The actor also spoke about the challenges Vedaant faces due to his recognisable status. “You can’t be seen with your shirt off and sleeping in any bed because one photograph of you in that kind of a pose is national news,” the actor recalls warning his son. “You can’t afford to be as footloose and fancy-free as the rest of your friends. You carry a burden of being recognised and being a model.”

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut recently shared that she has reunited with Madhavan for an upcoming pan-India psychological thriller, helmed by Vijay, the director of Thalaivii. Sharing a clapperboard photo on Instagram, Kangana confirmed that the film, produced by R. Ravindran with Nirav Shah as the cinematographer, is currently underway.

The announcement sparked speculation among fans about a possible Tanu Weds Manu 3. However, it turns out the duo is teaming up for an entirely new project. “Nothing is more delightful than being on a film set,” Kangana captioned the post.
