Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar made the country proud with their power-packed performance in the 24H Dubai 2025. His team, Racing by Bas Koeten, secured third place in the 991 category of the 24H Dubai 2025, and Ajith himself won the Spirit of the Race award in the GT4 category. After his victory, the actor proudly waved the Indian flag, with his wife Shalini and Bollywood actor, R Madhavan, who were cheering him on from the sidelines.
Madhavan, who is a friend and long-time admirer of Ajith, never misses an opportunity to share his admiration for the racing star.
During the event, a heartwarming photo of R. Madhavan hugging Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar also surfaced online. It has gone immensely viral, capturing the close bond between the two. Now, the actor spoke to a media portal and talked about this touching photo.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, the actor stated, “I’ve been a huge admirer of him for a long time. He’s a friend. When he was in Dubai, I happened to be there too, so I made sure to go and cheer him on.”
Expressing his love and bond with Ajith, Madhavan continues saying, “He’s an extraordinary human being—a man of grit and determination and someone who makes things happen in the most decent way possible. He’s not just following his passion but also making our country proud by holding the tricolour on a podium, which is rare in motorsport. That’s something really special, and I wanted to make sure I’m there for him. Also, I wanted to bring attention to the sport and Ajith’s achievement and hopefully help make the sport more popular.”
On the professional front, Ajith Kumar has multiple projects lined up on his plate. He is gearing up for the release of Vidaamuayarchi, which is expected to be released in February. Next, he has the highly anticipated film Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran. It is set to release on April 10.
Madhavan, on the other hand, starred in the recently released film Hisaab Barabar, which dropped on Zee5 today. Now, he has Karan Singh Tyagi’s untitled film in the pipeline. Co-starring Akshay Kumar and Ananya Panday, the film revolves around the untold story of C Sankaran Nair, a lawyer and former president of the Indian National Congress.
