Palak Tiwari, daughter of actress Shweta Tiwari, grabbed the fans’ attention with her performance in the recently released horror comedy, The Bhootnii. Helmed by Sidhant Sachdev, the film hit theatres on May 1. Now, Palak’s fun behind-the-scenes video from the making of the film has caught the spotlight. Wondering why? The clip shows her taking part in a hilarious ‘Burp contest’ with her co-star Aasif Khan.
The clip, shared on Aasif’s Instagram handle, features Palak and her co-star sitting on the sets of The Bhootnii as he begins the contest with the count, “One, Two Three,” after which the duo make burp noises one by one, leaving the fans in splits. At a moment in the video, Aasif says, “Aaj ye ulti nikalwaegi (Today, she’ll make me puke).” Later on, the actor turns the camera to an assistant director of the film and he makes a louder burp sound.
Sharing the video, the Panchayat actor wrote in the caption, “When we say Drukaris.”
In no time, the comment section was flooded with reactions from fans and admirers. Palak reacted with multiple laughing emoticons. An Instagram user wrote, “The best competition.” One of them commented, “Good competition.”
Coming back to The Bhootnii, apart from Palak and Aasif, the film also featured an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Mouni Roy, Sunny Singh and YouTuber Beyounick.
The film’s plot revolves around St. Vincent College and its Virgin Tree, which is claimed to be haunted by a spirit that awakens on Valentine’s Day. This spirit, Mohabbat, is drawn to young men and wants to take them away, especially on Holika Dahan.
Shantanu, a student who at first is drawn towards Mohabbat after being ditched by his lover on Valentine’s Day. Ananya, who secretly loves Shantanu, becomes involved with him and the witch, resulting in a series of incidents in which Mohabbat attempts to stop them from being together.
Backed by Deepak Mukut and Sanjay Dutt, the film collected a total of Rs 4.53 crore Nett in India in its first week, as per Sacnilk. The movie clashed with Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh starrer Raid 2.
