Aryan Khan, son of actor Shah Rukh Khan, is all set to mark his directorial debut with the upcoming series, The Ba***ds of Bollywood. Recently, the makers unveiled a title announcement video of the upcoming show, featuring King Khan, that has raised the fans’ excitement. Now, Navya Naveli Nanda, granddaughter of Amitabh Bachchan, gave a shoutout to her childhood friend for his first project as a director.
Taking to Instagram stories, Navya shared the title announcement video and captioned it with multiple fire emoticons. She also tagged Aryan in her stories.
The Ba***ds of Bollywood marks Aryan’s official entry into filmmaking, not as an actor but as a creator, writer and director, bringing his unique vision to the world of cinema.
The title announcement video was unveiled at the Next on Netflix 2025 event in Mumbai. In the teaser, Aryan is seen directing his father and their fun banter has left the audience in splits.
It begins with SRK making a grand entrance, stepping into a dimly lit set with a bold red backdrop. As he tries to introduce the show, Aryan, who is sitting on the director’s chair, interrupts in the middle. Furthermore, he instructs his daddy to try again. King Khan, ever the professional, nods and obliges, delivering multiple takes—only to be stopped again. A frustrated Shah Rukh then shouts, “Chup! Ab main take karunga aur tum sab dekhoge. Aur seekhoge!”
Then with full Bollywood flair and his incredible charm, the superstar made the official announcement of the show and said, “Picture toh saalon se baaki hai, par show ab shuru hoga. The biggest, the baddest, bravest, whackiest, funniest, cheekiest, maddest, filmiest show on earth. Aur uss show ka title hai.”
Post this, the screen flashes to bold text, revealing the much-anticipated title—The BA***DS OF BOLLYWOOD. Sharing the title video, the streaming giant wrote in the caption, “Picture toh saalon se baki hai par show toh ab shuru hoga. Witness Aryan Khan’s take on Bollywood… The Ba***ds of Bollywood, coming soon.”
The show will be streaming on Netflix. However, an official release date is yet to be announced.
Produced under Red Chillies Entertainment banner, the series aims to provide a bold, immersive and unconventional look into Bollywood, focussing on the industry’s power dynamics, difficulties and humour. It provides a unique, amusing and witty take on what goes on behind the scenes in the entertainment industry.
