Mortal Kombat 1, the upcoming fighting game from the legendary franchise, is set to release on September 19, 2023. There has been a massive gameplay leak that has revealed more than three hours of story mode, days ahead of the game’s release. This leak comes off the back of Mortal Kombat 1’s entire roster being leaked last week.
Mortal Kombat 1 story mode leak
The report from Insider Gaming states that it is unclear whether the streamer who livestreamed this footage received a copy of the game from NetherRealm Studios or obtained it by other means. The leaker managed to showcase over three hours of the new story mode, which features a story set in a different universe. Mortal Kombat 1 is the soft reboot, since its story is based in an entirely new universe created by Fire God Liu Kang in his own image.
While it is God Liu Kang’s universe, not everything is peaceful in this realm. Kang gathers warriors from different realms in Mortal Kombat 1 to take down a large threat that is coming to Kang’s universe.
Mortal Kombat 1 roster leak
Last week, Mortal Kombat 1 entire roster was also leaked online. Here’s the entire roster for Mortal Kombat 1, except for the 24th fighter who remains unknown:
- Johnny Cage
- Liu Kang
- General Shao
- Kung Lao
- Li Mei
As mentioned above, Mortal Kombat will release on September 19, 2023, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Those with Early Access will be able to play from September 14 onwards.
