MG Comet Blackstorm exterior and interior changes
Red highlights on the bonnet, wheels, and likely in the cabin
Like the Hector and Astor, which have a Blackstorm version, the blacked-out Comet will feature a black exterior with red highlights. One can see in the teaser that the front part of the bonnet, the wheel covers and the front bumper have these highlights.
While the teaser doesn’t show it, the Comet Blackstorm’s interior will likely feature black upholstery with red stitching, red highlights on the speakers and AC vents, and ‘Blackstorm’ badges and embroidery.
Comet Blackstorm price is likely to start at Rs 8.5 lakh
The brand has yet to confirm the variants with which the Blackstorm will be available, but MG Motor India usually offers these versions with mid-spec variants. The MG Comet is on sale in three trims – Executive, Excite and Exclusive – and is priced between Rs 7 lakh and Rs 9.84 lakh. Based on the price difference between the Astor Blackstorm and Hector Blackstorm and their standard counterparts, expect Comet Blackstorm prices to start at Rs 8.5 lakh, as the mid-spec Excite costs Rs 8.2 lakh. Â
The Comet Blackstorm will be mechanically the same as the standard model, powered by the 17.3kWh battery that runs a 42hp, 110Nm electric motor, with an MIDC range of 230km.
