Ganesh Chaturthi festivities came to an end yesterday, September 28 after a 10-day celebration. This festival was celebrated with much enthusiasm across all states, especially Maharashtra. Renowned celebrities from the Marathi film industry assembled at Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s residence, Varsha Bungalow recently. They were invited for the final darshan of Lord Ganesh. These celebrities include Kshitish Date, Rucha Apte, Amruta Khanvilkar, Spruha Joshi, and Shruti Marathe. Actors Gaurav Ghatnekar, Shreya Bugde, and Shivani Baokar were also present at the occasion. Kshitish Date shared his picture with Eknath Shinde on Instagram. Kshitish played the role of Eknath Shinde in the Marathi film Dharmaveer, written and directed by Pravin Tarde. The film focussed on the life of Shiv Sena leader, Anand Dighe.
Marathi actress Isha Keskar commented, “Much Love”. Other social media users also appreciated the photo.
Amruta Khanvilkar also shared pictures on Instagram and wrote a caption in Marathi, that loosely translates to, “Today Bappa’s darshan took place at the Varsha bungalow of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Eknathji Shinde …He and his family members were meeting everyone with great affection …Thank you sir for showing such respect. It was great to meet many friends Bappa will leave us … To meet again next year Ganapati Bappa Morya”. The pictures include Amruta, Spruha, Shreya and Sukanya Kulkarni.
Social media users loved the pictures and wrote that Amruta looks beautiful draped in a saree. “The best photo on the internet today”, another comment read.
Not only the Marathi actors, but Bollywood actors like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Genelia Deshmukh, Jackie Shroff, Pankaj Tripathi, Shehnaaz Gill, and others were also invited to the CM’s residence. Some of the pictures related to these celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan and Shehnaaz Gill were doing the rounds on social media. Shehnaaz Gill was seen donning a mustard-coloured kurta, paired with a black dupatta. Shah Rukh Khan looked dapper in a white ethnic Kurta.
