Ira Khan, daughter of Aamir Khan, turned a year older on May 8. To make this occasion extra memorable, Aamir’s ex-wife Kiran Rao extended heartfelt wishes to the birthday girl. Taking to Instagram, the filmmaker shared a collage video featuring several pictures of Ira with her family members as well as snaps from her wedding with Nupur Shikhare.
Sharing the adorable video on her Instagram stories, Kiran wrote in the caption, “HBD My Darling @ira.khan.”
In one of the pictures, Ira is seen posing with her father Aamir Khan, brother Azad, her mother Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao. In another snap, which is from her wedding day, she is striking a pose with both her brothers, Junaid and Azad. One picture depicts Ira enjoying a dinner with her husband, father, Azad and Kiran.
Ira’s husband, Nupur, also extended a heartfelt wish to his wife on Instagram and wrote, “Happy Birthday Bubs. Always keep that precious smile on your pretty face ok. I love you a lot. MUAAAAAAHHHHH.”
The clip captured several heartfelt moments of the couple from their wedding function and vacations. Interestingly, it was attached to the song Musu Musu by singer Shaan.
Ira is the daughter of Aamir and his first wife, Reena Dutta. Aamir and Reena got married in 1986 and parted ways in 2002. Later on, the Dhoom 3 actor married filmmaker Kiran Rao, with whom he shares a son, Azad. The duo announced their separation in 2021.
Fatima Sana Shaikh, Mithila Palkar and Gulshan Devaiah also extended heartfelt wishes to Ira Khan.
Ira and Nupur had a registered marriage on January 3, 2024, in Mumbai, followed by a traditional Christian wedding ceremony in Udaipur on January 8, 2024.
During a recent chat with Pinkvilla, Ira Khan shared that she regrets not earning money despite the fact that she is in her 20s. However, Aamir reminded her that making money isn’t the only measure of success. He praised Ira’s efforts to help others, saying that making a positive influence in people’s lives is far more meaningful and a success in and of itself. The 3 Idiots actor stated that he is happy that his daughter is helping others, and that is more important to him.
Coming back to Kiran, she is known for directing films like Dhobi Ghat and Laapataa Ladies. She worked as a producer on projects such as Lagaan, Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na, Talaash, Dangal and Secret Superstar.
