Kartik Aaryan Stars Opposite Sreeleela In Anurag Basu’s Romantic Musical
South sensation Sreeleela is all set to star opposite Kartik Aaryan in Anurag Basu’s upcoming film. The makers confirmed the same by sharing the duo’s first look from the yet-untitled romantic film. Kartik took to his Instagram on Sunday, and shared the first look of the musical drama, which is speculated to be the third instalment of the popular Aashiqui franchise. He also announced when the film will release.
The first look video of Anurag Basu’s romantic musical shared by Kartik Aaryan opens with the crowd cheering, while the actor plays guitar and performs on stage. He is seen singing ‘Tu Meri Zindagi Hai’, sporting a brooding lover’s look with a heavy beard and rugged long hair. The video also features a few glimpses of Sreeleela and Kartik’s romantic moments, giving fans a sneak-peek of the fresh pair’s sizzling chemistry. In his caption, Kartik simply wrote, “This Diwali @anuragbasuofficial @kartikaaryan @sreeleela14 #BhushanKumar @ipritamofficial @tanibasu @shivchanana @neerajkalyan24 @tseriesfilms @tseriesofficial.” Reacting to the announcement video, one fan wrote, “Pure Gossebumps,” while another one commented, “Another BLOCKBUSTER loading this Diwali….” Many were excited about Kartik’s Rockstar avatar. Helmed by Anurag Basu, the film’s music has been composed by Pritam. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar.
Earlier, there were rumours that Triptii Dimri was no longer a part of Anurag Basu’s film with Kartik Aaryan as her ‘image’ didn’t suit the role. Speaking with Hindustan Times about the same, Anurag Basu dismissed the claims, and said that the reason for the actress’ exit was the unavailability of dates. “I don’t know what the film is called right now; the shoot starts this month. We have not finalised the female lead yet—it will be announced in a week,” he said.
