Kartik Aaryan attended the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025, held at the Jio Convention Centre in Mumbai from May 1 to 4. The actor not only graced the red carpet in a traditional white ethnic outfit but also took to the stage to address Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several dignitaries.
Kartik later shared photos and a video from the event on Instagram. While the pictures captured his dapper look, it was the video of him speaking at the summit that caught everyone’s attention. Standing before PM Modi for the first time, the actor admitted to feeling overwhelmed.
“A warm welcome to Ajit Pawar ji and all the guests who have come here at WAVES 2025. Prime Minister ji, Modi ji, sorry, my heart is beating very fast (heartbeat bohot tez chal rahi hai) as I am saying something for the first time in front of you. So, I will try my best to maintain the decorum here. And if anything goes wrong, please forgive me. WAVES, it’s founded by four pillars: Creativity, Innovation, Collaboration and Inclusion,” Kartik said.
Kartik was also seen interacting with filmmaker SS Rajamouli at the event. In a widely shared clip, Kartik welcomed the Baahubali director on stage, greeting him with a handshake and respectfully stepping aside for him to speak.
During his address, SS Rajamouli praised India’s cultural and linguistic wealth, noting that each language reflects centuries of history. He underlined the nation’s legacy of storytelling, asserting that India has one of the richest narrative traditions globally.
