Kajol revisits her film Helicopter Eela as it clocks 5 years today.
Time and again, Kajol has given us films that have remained memorable. Having said that, Helicopter Eela was one such movie of the actress that garnered millions of love and appreciation from fans and critics. As the film clocked 5 years, Kajol took a trip down the memory lane to share some happy moments from that time and also penned a heartfelt note that read, “#helicoptereela turned the whole nightmare of going #backtoschool into a mad happy memory.. All thanks to the late @pradeepsarkar and team.. School wasn’t half as much fun!

In Helicopter Eela, Kajol plays an obsessive mother Eela who continuously keeps a tab on her son’s activities. Written by Mitesh Shah, the movie is co-produced by Ajay Devgn and Jayantilal Gada of Pen India Ltd.
Back in 2018, in an interview with Bombay Times, the actress had opened up about working in the film. She shared, “Eela is adventurously funny. The film has comedy and at the same time, it has a message. It’s about the relationship of a child with the mother, who’s a single parent. That kind of a relationship is deep and you know that it’s just the both of you against the whole world. You may fight with your mother and not like some of the things that she does, but if someone comes and says anything to her, you will be the first one to stand up for her. That’s exactly the relationship between Eela and her son.”
Meanwhile on the work front, Kajol has been garnering praise with her back-to-back performances in OTT projects. She was last seen in Netflix’s original film, Lust Stories 2 and Disney Plus Hotstar’s web series, The Trial Pyaar Kanoon Dhoka. The series also features Saurabh Shukla, Jisshu Sengupta and Gaurav Pandey in the lead roles. The actress also Do Patti with Kriti Sanon.
