Aamir Khan and Reena Datta’s son Junaid Khan is all set to make his big screen debut alongside Khushi Kapoor in their upcoming film ‘Loveyapa’. The actors have been busy promoting the film over the last few days. In a recent interview, Junaid revealed how he approved of his sister Ira Khan’s relationship with Nupur Shikhare. He revealed that he allowed her to date anyone, but had one condition- that the partner must have a drinking contest with him. This was a test so that Ira could see the guy at his most vulnerable, and decide whether she wants to date him. Junaid shared in detail about how the contest went, and how Nupur spent the rest of the night on the bathroom floor. He then joked that he put Nupur in bed and he ‘cuddled’ with Junaid all night.
In a conversation with Hauterrfly, Junaid Khan said, “The only thing with my sister was, you can date whoever you want. But you must bring them home, and they have to have a drinking contest with me. They get to pick the liquor, and the rules are both to take a shot every 15 minutes. And if someone can’t take a shot, or someone throws up, or someone will not be able to take a shot. Those are the rules of the game, and as long as they beat me in a drinking contest, everything is fun.” He added that the idea behind this contest was for Ira to see them at their drunkest.

When asked whether Nupur managed to beat Junaid, the latter replied, “Yeah! So, what happened was we started drinking, and at one point, Nupur was like, Junaid, I’m done. So, I said you take this shot and I’ll not take a shot, so then you won. He took the shot, he won and I took a video of it and it was very sweet. He spent the rest of the night on the bathroom floor with Ira next to him. That was also very sweet. Then I picked him up and I put him in bed and then he cuddled with me all night because he was in my bed.”
Ira Khan got married to Nupur Shikhare in January last year. While they registered their marriage on January 3, 2024, in Mumbai, they had a white wedding in Udaipur a few days later.
