The Indian Army along with the Indian Army on September 26 averted a major terror attack by Lashkar-e-Taiba in the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. The J&K Police arrested 2 accused Arif Channa and Zahid Hasan Malla, who were allegedly in contact with terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition. In a press briefing, SSP Baramulla Amod Ashok Nagpure said, “In Baramulla, in the past two weeks two terror modules were revealed… We are sharing information based on the terror module bust on September 14 in the Uri area. During checking by the joint teams of Police and the India Army in the Paran Pillan village of Uri, they noticed a suspicious movement by two people. When they were detained and after checking illegal weapons were recovered from them. After investigating them we got to know that their name is Arif Channa and Zahid Hasan Malla.
