Late last year, Friends star Jennifer Aniston, 55, found herself at the centre of romance rumours with former US President Barack Obama, 63, after In Touch Weekly magazine published a front-page story claiming to reveal “the truth about Jen & Barack.”
The Hollywood actress swiftly dismissed the speculation during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in October 2024. “Of all the calls you get from your publicist where you’re just like ‘Oh, no, what’s it gonna be?’ or you get an email saying some cheesy tabloid is gonna make up a story—and then it’s that,” Aniston quipped.
“I was not mad at it,” she added with a giggle, before clarifying, “It’s absolutely untrue.” When host Jimmy Kimmel asked if there was any truth to the rumours, Aniston replied, “I’ve met him [Obama] once. I know Michelle more than him.” In a playful tone, Kimmel further questioned, “Is there a truth about you and Michelle?” to which Aniston responded with a smile, “That is not true.”

Meanwhile, Barack and Michelle Obama, who celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary in October last year, have been candid about the ups and downs in their marriage. Sharing a heartfelt photo of themselves hugging at a museum in New York, Barack wrote, “I couldn’t have asked for a better partner and friend to go through life with.” Michelle echoed his sentiments, saying, “32 action-packed years with my honey! Thank you for always having my back.”
Despite their public display of affection, Michelle has previously spoken about challenges in their relationship. In a 2022 panel discussion, she admitted, “People think I’m being catty – it’s like, there were ten years where I couldn’t stand my husband,” referring to the years they were raising their daughters, Malia and Sasha.
