Honda is offering various discounts and benefits on the Gen 4 and Gen 5 City, as well as the Amaze, WRV and Jazz in October 2022. We tell you how much you can save on each car this month.

Honda WR-V
Benefits of up to Rs 39,298
Those looking to buy the WR-V, which gets the most discount this month, can get a cash discount of Rs 10,000 or free accessories worth Rs 12,298. In addition, customers can also avail an exchange bonus of Rs 7,000 along with a discount of Rs 10,000 on exchange. Furthermore, customers also get a loyalty bonus of Rs 5,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 5,000.
The WR-V, the crossover derivate of the Jazz, gets a slightly raised ride height and tweaked styling, and as reported earlier, will likely be on sale till March 2023. It features a spacious and well-packaged interior. It is offered with both petrol and diesel engines but lacks an automatic gearbox.
Honda City (Gen 5)
Benefits of up to Rs 37,896
The Gen 5 Honda City is a popular choice among midsize sedan buyers. Customers can avail a cash discount of up to Rs 10,000 or free accessories worth Rs 10,896. Additionally, customers can get a loyalty bonus of Rs 5,000, as well as a corporate discount of Rs 5,000. Honda is also offering an exchange bonus of Rs 7,000, along with Rs 10,000 discount on exchange. Like last month, there are no discounts on the City Hybrid.
Buyers will like the new 1.5-litre petrol for it rev-happy nature, while the 1.5-litre diesel is frugal and refined. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed manual, but a CVT gearbox is exclusively available with the petrol. The cabin is spacious and the ride quality is supple, one of the best in class. A lot of premium kit and connected-car tech have now made it to the equipment list.
Honda Jazz
Benefits of up to Rs 25,000
The only hatchback in Honda’s stable is the Jazz, although it may be discontinued by next month. At the moment, it is being offered with a Rs 10,000 discount on exchange, along with an exchange bonus of Rs 7,000. There is also a loyalty bonus of Rs 5,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 3,000. The hatchback is powered by a 90hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine mated to either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. A strong point of the Jazz is its spacious cabin, although it lacks many features that its rivals offer.
Honda Amaze
Benefits of up to Rs 8,000
Honda is offering a loyalty bonus of Rs 5,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 3,000 on the only compact sedan in its portfolio. The Amaze recently achieved a milestone of five lakh units sold in nine years. It received a mid-life refresh in 2021, and along with updated styling cues on the outside, there are a handful of new features on the inside. It also has a spacious cabin but lacks a few features its rivals offer. It gets a 90hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine as well as a 100hp, (80hp in the automatic) 1.5-litre diesel engine. It is one of the only cars in its segment to offer an automatic gearbox with both engine options.
Honda City (Gen 4)
Benefits of up to Rs 5,000
The Gen 4 City, which has been on sale since 2014, is only offered with a loyalty bonus of Rs 5,000. It will likely be discontinued by December 2022. It comes with a 119hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine and is offered in two trims – SV and V – and gets only a 5-speed manual gearbox. Even though it may not be as tech-laden as its successor, it still has a comfortable ride and a spacious interior.
Honda drive now, pay later scheme
There is also a special financing scheme for buyers interested in the City and Amaze, where they can purchase a car this year and start paying its EMIs from 2023. However, this scheme is only applicable till October 31. The festive finance scheme, called ‘Drive in 2022, Pay in 2023, will allow buyers to finance 85 percent of the on-road cost of the car and they will only have to pay minimal EMIs for the next three months, while regular EMIs will begin from the fourth month onwards.
