His close relationship with the Gandhi family also got him to take on the role of politician, which has to leave owing to several controversies at the time. What may not be common knowledge is that is an alumnus of Delhi University. He had done his graduation from Delhi University’s Kirorimal College. He is best known as the the ‘Angry Young Man’ and the ‘Shahnsha’ of Bollywood.
Shah Rukh Khan
Esteemed Indian actor and well renowned across the globe, Shah Rukh Khan has also been a part of Delhi University, from 1958 till 1988, when he studied economic from Hansraj College. He had received his graduate degree from DU after nearly 28 years. Over the years, he has certainly earned the title “King of Bollywood” through his movies, talks, speeches, and performances which has inspired numerous people.
Indian film actor Manoj Bajpayee, has contributed to films from several regions across India, specifically Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films. He has won several accolade for his work including, three National Film Awards, six Filmfare Awards, and two Asia Pacific Screen Awards. He had graduated from Delhi University’s Ramjas college.
Arjun Rampal, famous actor, producer, screenwriter, model, entrepreneur and television personality is also one of DU’s famous alumnus. He had completed his Bachelor’s in Economics from Delhi University’s Hindu College in 1993. In recent years, he is well know for his acting skills, and svelte appearance. He has received awards like National Film Award for best supporting actor and a Film Fare award.
Model and actor Sidharth Malhotra, completed his graduation from Shaheed Bhagat Singh college of Delhi University. He began his career as a model at the age of 18 but soon decided to change his profession and went on to work as the assistant director to Karan Johar in the 2010 film, ‘My Name is Khan’. His debut film, “Student of the Year,” garnered a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.
Konkona Sen Sharma
Konkona Sen Sharma is the daughter of veteran filmmaker-actress Aparna Sen. She continued the legacy by being an actor and director herself. She has appeared in a number of independent films, establishing her as a leading actor of contemporary parallel cinema. She graduated with a degree in English in 2001 from St Stephen’s College in Delhi.
