Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcomed their baby girl, Dua, in September 2024. The actress took a maternity break for a while, however, she is gradually returning to the public life now. This weekend, she was seen attending an event in Mumbai alongside her Fighter co-star Anil Kapoor as well as Jackie Shroff and Kartik Aaryan.
For the event, Deepika looked elegant in a black outfit with a bright red dupatta. Kartik kept it casual, while Anil went for an all-black look. Jackie chose a classic mix of a shirt, blazer, and jeans.

Deepika Padukone recently took to Instagram to announce the world television premiere of Kalki 2898 AD, her last film. The sci-fi blockbuster, also featuring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, is set to air on Zee Cinema on February 16 at 8 PM. Sharing a promo, Deepika wrote, “Dekhiye #TVParPehliBaar ‘Kalki 2898 A.D’ 16th February, Ravivaar raat 8 baje, sirf #ZeeCinema par!”
Last month, Deepika Padukone thrilled her fans by returning to work in style, kicking off Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s 25th-anniversary show. More recently, she added a touch of elegance to Cartier’s A Journey of Wonders exhibition at the Al Shindagha Museum in Dubai.
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone welcomed their baby girl, Dua, on September 8 this year. The couple, in a joint post, wrote, “Welcome baby girl. 8-9-2024. Deepika & Ranveer.” Nearly three months later, the couple introduced their little one to the paparazzi in a special meet-and-greet. However, like many other celebrity parents, they kindly requested photographers not to take pictures of their daughter due to their wish for privacy.
Earlier, even before Deepika’s pregnancy, Ranveer had expressed his wish to have a baby girl. Speaking on his TV show, The Big Picture, the actor had said, “Jaisa ki aap log jante hain meri shaadi ho gayi hai aur ab 2-3 saal mein bacche bhi honge. Bhaisaab, aapki bhabhi itni cute baby thi na. Main to roz uski baby photos dekhta hoon, kehta hoon ek aisi de de mujhe bus meri life set ho jaye (As you guys know, I am married and may have kids in the next two or three years. Your sister-in-law was such a cute baby. I see her baby photos every day and tell her to give me a baby like that, my life will be set).”
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s love story began back in 2012. After dating for several years, they tied the knot in a dreamy wedding at Lake Como, Italy, on November 14 and 15, 2018. Fans finally got a glimpse of their special day when the couple shared their wedding video for the first time in five years on Koffee With Karan Season 8. During the episode, Ranveer also revealed that he had proposed to Deepika in 2015 during a romantic getaway in the Maldives.
