7th Pay Commission: In accordance with the recommendations of the central pay commission (CPC), the government of Arunachal Pradesh has announced a 4% increase in the dearness allowance (DA) and dearness relief (DR) for state government employees.
With effect from July 1, 2022, the employees will receive a DA/DR of 38 percent, up from 34 percent previously.68,000 regular employees will benefit from this announcement. The annual financial impact is estimated to be around Rs 120 crore.
Pema Khandu, the state chief minister, stated that beginning January 1, 2023, all government employees without official housing will receive a House Rent Allowance (HRA).The annual financial impact is estimated to be around Rs 42 crore. In addition, CM Khandu announced that government doctors would receive non-practicing allowance (NPA).
“In accordance with the 7th CPC, the government has decided to provide a non-practicing allowance to those opting for the same because of the role that our doctors play in fostering a healthy society. It is anticipated that the annual financial impact will be approximately Rs 10 crore, and it will take effect on January 1, 2023,” the Arunachal CMO stated.
