As excitement builds for Castaway Diva, the makers have unveiled an intriguing poster that offers a sneak peek into Park Eun-Bin’s character’s life on the island.
Popular Korean actress Park Eun-bin, known for her role in the hit drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo, is set to collaborate with Netflix once more in the upcoming series Castaway Diva. Set to debut next month, the show features Park as Seo Mok Ha, an aspiring singer who finds herself stranded on a deserted island for 15 years before starting her journey to become a diva. As excitement builds for the series, the makers have unveiled an intriguing poster that offers a sneak peek into Seo’s unique life on the island, setting the stage for the laughter and excitement the show will bring.
In the post, Seo can be seen living a simple yet busy life, as she grows potatoes and hunts for food. Her hard work and lifestyle on the island are evident, as she is seen using farming tools made from seashells and wood, the fire pit, the SOS sign and the huts built on the sandy beach, add an intrigue to the show. The text on the poster reads, “A surreal drama for those who are tired of reality,” suggesting that the series will take viewers on a unique journey, providing an escape from the ordinary life.
Earlier talking about her character, Park Eun-bin said, “She’s a friend with great sensibility and passion. I’m working hard on practising guitar because Mok-ha can sing and play the guitar well. Above all, she also speaks a dialect so I’m struggling with conveying Mok-ha’s emotions through dialect in various ways.”
Sharing her experience about the first script reading session for Castaway Diva with other cast members, Park mentioned that it was a promising beginning, filled with positive energy and it gave her a sense of healing.
Additionally, Park expressed her appreciation for the script, mentioning that there were moments that touched her heart and others that made her laugh.
Castaway Diva appears to be an exciting South Korean drama series with an intriguing twist. The show, led by director Oh Choong Hwan and writer Park Hye Ryun, features a talented cast including Park Eun-bin, Chae Jong Hyeop, Kim Hyo Jin and Cha Hak Yeon. It revolves around the life of Seo Mok Ha, an aspiring singer who after spending 15 years alone gets rescued. Her world takes a dramatic turn when she meets Kang Bo Geol, portrayed by Chae Jong Hyeop.
The South Korean series is scheduled to stream on Netflix from October 28.
