Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya attended the screening of their new film Sky Force in Mumbai on Thursday evening. While Akshay arrived with his wife Twinkle Khanna, Veer was papped with his mother Smruti Pahariya. Nysa Devgan, Orry, Himesh Reshammiya, Boney Kapoor and Shikhar Pahariya also attended the screening.
Several videos from the premiere went viral on social media. In one of the clips, Boney can be seen giving a tight hug to Veer. Interestingly, Veer’s elder brother Shikhar is dating Boney Kapoor’s actress-daughter Janhvi Kapoor, who is currently in Tirupati seeking blessings for herself and her loved ones.
Sky Force will see Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya play the role of Indian Air Force pilots and is based on the true story of Squadron Leader Devayya and other members of the Indian Air Force who fought during the 1965 Indo-Pak war.
Recently, Akshay Kumar and the team of Sky Force had hosted a special screening of the film for Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi. The Minister shared pictures from the screening on X (formerly known as Twitter) and praised the team. He extended his best wishes and wrote, “Joined CDS and three service chiefs at the special screening of ‘Sky Force’. The film narrates the story of the Indian Air Force’s bravery, courage and sacrifice during the 1965 War. I laud the makers of the film for their efforts.”
Sky Force is Veer’s Bollywood debut. The film also sees Sara Ali Khan playing the role of the late soldier’s wife in the film. It is directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and produced by Jio Studios and Maddock Films.
