The BMW F 450 GS concept was showcased at the 2024 edition of EICMA but the brand never gave us an official timeline. This now changes as BMW has announced that the production-spec F 450 GS should be here by the end of 2025.

BMW F 450 GS: Launch details
The BMW F 450 GS’ official launch timeline has been announced by a social media post via BMW Motorrad’s official handle. It gives us an idea as to when we should expect this twin-cylinder, 450cc Adventure tourer to launch.
The F 450 GS was in concept form at EICMA 2024 but its design was heavily inspired from the recently launched R 1300 GS. It had the same quad DRL set-up but with GS badging in the centre, this badge will be replaced with a proper headlight in the production form. The concept featured a 6.5-inch TFT display and cross-spoke wheels. It remains to be seen what all features make the transition into production form.
BMW’s nomenclature is well defined, wherein the number denotes the displacement and the letter represents the engine format. In this case, the ‘F’ stands for a parallel twin with a 270-degree firing order and the ‘450’ amounts to the displacement.This engine is rated to produce 48hp. BMW had also claimed at EICMA that the concept F 450 GS weighed around 175kg, remains to be seen as to how much this model weighs in its production form.
This concept is stylised to be reminiscent of larger GS and it will be the first model to debut this new parallel-twin, 450cc engine. We also expect BMW to deliver additional models with this engine but that remains to be seen.
