The premiere episode of Mike White’s The White Lotus Season 3 dropped in India recently. The new season introduces a fresh group of guests who will enjoy exotic food, luxurious spa treatments and nail-biting drama in Thailand. The third season of the popular show also generated significant buzz as it marks the acting debut of BLACKPINK’s Lisa.
In a recent conversation with the Hindustan Times, Lisa opened up about her acting debut and said, “I never imagined I’d be a part of The White Lotus, which I’m a fan of. It’s also my first time acting, so I’m really grateful.” Although Lisa is no stranger to the camera, her first time acting came with some challenges.
“It took so much time to finish one scene – wide, close-up, more close-up, so many angles! But everyone was really supportive and professional on set,” Lisa said. Another challenge was learning the Thai dance. She said, “It’s not that easy. It’s challenging and complicated because Thai dance is on another level. I had to practise a lot… I feel like I did a great job. It came out really nicely.”
Besides Lisa, The White Lotus season 3 cast also includes Natasha Rothwell, Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Francesca Corney, Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, Christian Friedel, Michelle Monaghan, Walton Goggins, Dom Hetrakul, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Sam Nivola, Morgana O’Reilly, Lek Patravadi, Shalini Peiris, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong, Aimee Lou Wood and Scott Wood.
Season 3, launched on February 16 (February 17 in India), will have eight episodes, released every Sunday. The series is available on Max Direct, Prime Video (Max add-on), Disney Plus and Sling TV. Fans in India can catch the show on Jio Hotstar on Mondays with a premium subscription.
