Arunachal maintains 30 % share of capital expenditure in total expenditure outlay, says Dy CM


Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein said that state has been able to maintain more than 30 % share of capital expenditure in total expenditure outlay, which is the best in the country.
Limited is installing three new mobile towers in Namsai district of Arunachal Pradesh. The towers are being installed at the Office of the Superintendent of Police, Government Primary School Simulbari, and at the Mini-Secretariat. The mobile tower at the office of the Superintendent of Police was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Arunachal Pradesh.

Mein unfurled the National Tricolour at Chongkham Mini Stadium amidst a huge gathering on 76th Independence Day celebration. He further informed the reform brought in the recruitment process by the Government saying, “We have made recruitment process transparent & merit-based model. Recently, our Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) got ISO 9001-2015 certification for fairness & transparency, which is historic”, he said.

He further said, “Prudent fiscal management is our hallmark. In the last six years, not even once did our state default in any of its commitments despite serious shortage of resources due to Covid-19 pandemic. Arunachal Pradesh has been able to maintain more than 30 % share of capital expenditure in total expenditure outlay, which is the best in the country”.

He further informed that the state has almost reached Rs 30,000 crore GSDP mark, out of which Rs 10,000 crore was added to the GSDP only in the past five years. “The annual budget size of the state has doubled from Rs 12,553 crore in 2015-16 to Rs 26,111 crore in 22-23”, he said.

Mein said, “The installation of the new telecom towers by Indus Towers will give thousands of people access to every service that can be delivered via mobile telephony including the opportunity to learn and work online, where required. This is part of the Government’s efforts to improve digital connectivity in the State. The telecom towers will improve the lives of everyone they touch in Namsai by bringing them into the fold of the new digital economy and digital ecosystems as they will open new vistas of opportunities for the communities.”

Rajender Gurung, Circle CEO, Northeast and Assam (NESA), Indus Towers said, ” Indus Towers has installed mobile towers in some of the remotest and toughest terrains in the North East region. He added that Indus Towers currently has 6043 sites in North East India which enable connectivity for over 36 million people residing in the seven states.
