As part of their ongoing divorce settlement, singer Ariana Grande has reportedly paid a huge amount to Dalton Gomez.
Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez officially filed for divorce in September after two years, according to TMZ. Now, according to new reports from the portal, Ariana has paid over USD 1 million to Dalton as a settlement. The former couple got separated in July. However, the divorce filing occurred approximately two months later, as both were taking their time together to slowly work through the details of the agreement privately.
According to the report, Dalton will get USD 1,250,000 tax-free, as per their prenuptial agreement and after this payment, he will not receive any spousal support from the popstar. Reportedly, Dalton will also receive half the amount from the sale of their home in Los Angeles and Ariana will bear a part of Dalton’s legal fees.
TMZ quoted a source as saying, “There is still a strong mutual love and respect between Ariana and Dalton and they wanted to make sure everything was done right in lockstep with one another.” The settlement has been filed with the court and is pending the judge’s approval.
Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez’s romantic journey started in January 2020, culminating in their official relationship status when they appeared together in the music video for Grande’s collaboration with Justin Bieber, titled Stuck with U, in May of that same year. Their engagement was subsequently announced in December 2020, and they took their wedding vows in an intimate wedding ceremony on May 15, 2021.
According to the latest reports, the former couple separated on February 20 this year and Ariana Grande is presently involved in a romantic relationship with her Wicked co-star, Broadway alum Ethan Slater. Ethan, who had tied the knot with his high school classmate Lilly Jay in November 2018, welcomed his first child with her in January this year. However, Ethan filed for divorce from Lilly in July this year.
