For Kesari Chapter 2 promotions, actress Ananya Panday ditched her usual chic Western outfits and opted for a beautiful six yards of sheer elegance. In a video shared on Instagram on Friday, April 11, the 26-year-old could be seen exiting a venue when she was spotted by the paparazzi. While she looked a bit exhausted due to the sweltering heat in Mumbai, she did not let the weather dim her grace. Ananya even patiently posed briefly for the shutterbugs with a big smile on her face.
For today’s promotional event, the Call Me Bae actress wore an elegant red saree adorned with golden detailing. She paired it with a matching colour halter neck blouse, adding a modern touch to her traditional avatar. Choosing to forgo heavy accessories, Ananya just wore a pair of delicate studs, thus letting her saree take centre stage. With soft makeup, open hair, and a small bindi, she completed her look for the day.
Ananya also shared a closer look at her OOTD with her fans on Instagram. In the video, the 26-year-old could be seen standing inside a garden and posing for the camera. She was seen playfully swinging her pallu and soaking up the sun. In the caption of the post, Ananya wrote, “Dilreet is ready to meet you all in cinemas on the 18th of April #KesariChapter2.”
In no time, Ananya’s latest look was able to win hearts online. Many of her loved ones and fans took to the comment section of the post to heap praises on the actress’ red saree look. While her mother, Bhavana Pandey, and actress Aditi Rao Hydari reacted to the video with red heart emojis, her fans called her “Prettiest,” “Beautiful” and “Gorgeous”.
Speaking of Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh, the period courtroom drama is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi. It features Akshay Kumar as Sir C Sankaran Nair, the fearless lawyer who fought an ‘unprecedented battle’ against the British Raj in the 1920s after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and will go up against R. Madhavan’s character, a lawyer who will represent the British Empire. Meanwhile, Ananya will portray a female lawyer who, despite many odds, defies stereotypes by fighting for Indians in a field dominated by males. Kesari Chapter 2 will be released in theatres on April 18.
