Amit Shah reviews MHA performance in counter terror, radicalisation

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday held the second ‘Chintan Shivir’ of senior officers of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and reviewed performance of various issues pertaining to counter terrorism, radicalisation, internal security, cyber information, narcotics, disaster management and foreigners division . He also discussed the position on Atma Nirbhar Bharat and important pending issues of MHA.

The officers shared their suggestions on various issues pertaining to the ministry. In his address, Shah said that MHA should prepare a road map and follow it to achieve the goals of Vision 2047. This 25-year road map will certainly be successful in making India the first in the world, the home ministry said in a statement.

Shah suggested an effort to visualise the challenges of the future and find their advanced solutions.

He emphasised on further enhancing the ability to use and prevent misuse of modern technology including drones and artificial intelligence. The home minister called upon the officials to work more diligently to achieve the goals set in ‘Vision 2047’.

He stressed that in order to reduce the consumption of electricity, provision of more and more solar energy should be made for all the MHA office buildings.

The last meeting of Chintan Shivir took place in April in which the home minister directed the officials to make field visits to border areas to monitor development schemes and construction of roads, fencing on the border.
