Indian actor and motorsport enthusiast Ajith Kumar bagged a podium finish at the Dubai 24 Hour race, finishing third in the 992 class with his eponymous team Ajith Kumar Racing. Additionally, Kumar also won the ‘Spirit of the Race’ award in the GT4 class.
Held at the Dubai Autodrome, the 24-hour endurance race was the opening round of the 2025 Middle East Trophy and featured a grid of over 65 entries. The 992 class itself had over 20 entries.

Dubai 24H: Ajith Kumar Racing third in 992 class
Ajith Kumar Racing entered a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup racer in 992 class (Pro), with driving duties shared by Kumar, Cameron Mcleod, Mathieu Detry and Fabian Duffleux. Despite suffering a heavy crash during practice, the team repaired the car in time for the race.
25 hours and 568 laps later, they secured third place in the 992 class. The No. 909 Red Camel-jordans.nl Porsche car took victory in the class, ahead of the No. 912 Tierra Outdoor Racing by HWM car.
Kumar also competed in the GT4 class, driving a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport for the Razoon squad, alongside Dominik Olbert and Leo Pichler. At one point the No. 414 Porsche looked like it was out of the running, but it was able to rejoin the race thanks to a herculean effort by the team and finished fourth in the class. This feat also resulted in the squad winning the ‘Spirit of the Race’ award.
The No. 777 BMW AlManar Racing by Team WRT crew of Max Hesse, Al Faisal Al Zubair, Daniel Harper, Ben Tuck and Darren Leung scored a commanding win with the BMW M4 GT3 EVO.
