Airtel: If you have received the message to recharge your number, do not fret as a technical glitch has forced the subscriber to send such a message.

If you are an Airtel subscriber, you might have received a message from the company informing you that your services have been discontinued.

If you are an Airtel subscriber, you might have received a message from the company informing you that your services have been discontinued. The message asks users to recharge their mobile numbers in order to continue using the services.

If you have received the message, do not fret as a technical glitch has forced the subscriber to send such a message to its subscribers. Several users reported the issue on Twitter.

Users said that they received a message from Airtel that read, “Your ongoing services have been discontinued.

To continue, click airtel.in prepaid/prepaid-recharge or dial 121.” Now if your prepaid pack is over, you should recharge your number. But if you have recharged your number recently and still got the message, you should simply ignore the message.

A Twitter user shared the screenshot of the message and wrote, “Dear @Airtel_Presence @airtelindia,I have received the below message on all my numbers. Is it due to some system error? All my numbers have valid active plans. Suggest, please.

To which, Airtel replied, “Due to a technical error at our end you may have received a wrong SMS regarding deactivation of services. Please ignore the same. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.”

On a related note, Airtel has discontinued one of its cheapest prepaid plans costing Rs 49. The smart recharge prepaid plan now starts at Rs 79. The smart recharge prepaid plan comes with 200MN data, a talktime of Rs 64. The plan has a validity of 28 days, but the plan does not include free messages.

Apart from that, Airtel also offers plans that include a free subscription to Amazon Prime Video. The users can recharge their number with Rs 299 plan as it offers a free subscription to Amazon Prime.

Apart from the free subscription, the plan comes with 30GB of data and has a validity of 30 days. You get truly unlimited calling and 100SMSes per day along with a subscription to the Apollo 24X7 app for three months.

Another Airtel prepaid plan that offers a free subscription to Amazon Prime is priced at Rs 349. The prepaid plan comes with 2GB of data per day for 28 days along with unlimited calling and 100 SMSes per day. If you are a postpaid user you can get a free Amazon Prime subscription for one year on plans costing Rs 499 and above.
