Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor are all set to bring a fresh wave of romance to the big screen with their upcoming film Loveyapa. The makers recently unveiled the film’s first song, which has been receiving immense love from industry icons like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. Adding to the excitement, Aamir Khan shared his glowing review of the film even before its release, praising his son Junaid’s performance and comparing Khushi Kapoor to her legendary mother, Sridevi.
Speaking to ANI, Aamir Khan expressed his admiration for the film and its cast. He said, “I have watched the rough cut. I liked this film. It is very entertaining. The way our lives have turned out these days due to cellphones, and the interesting things that happen in our life due to this have been shown here. All the actors have done a good job. When I watched the film and saw Khushi (Kapoor), I felt that I was watching Sridevi. Her energy was there, I could see. I am a huge fan of Sridevi.”

Loveyapa is slated to release on February 7, 2025. Directed by Advait Chandan, who previously helmed Laal Singh Chaddha, the romantic comedy is produced by Phantom Studios and AGS Entertainment, with global distribution by Zee Studios. Touted as a heartwarming modern love story, the film promises lively music, stunning visuals, and unforgettable performances.
Junaid Khan, who made his debut last year in Siddharth P. Malhotra’s Maharaj, continues to impress with his evolving acting skills. Meanwhile, Khushi Kapoor, who stepped into the industry with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies in 2023, is being celebrated as a rising star to watch.
Reportedly, Loveyapa is a remake of the 2022 Tamil hit Love Today, which was directed by and starred Pradeep Ranganathan. The film explores how modern relationships are shaped by the omnipresence of technology, a theme that resonates with today’s audiences.
The first leg of the shoot wrapped in Mumbai, followed by a schedule in Delhi, where Junaid and Khushi filmed key sequences. With their chemistry already sparking excitement, Loveyapa is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
