1984 anti-Sikh riots case: DSGMC members protest against Jagdish Tytler’s anticipatory bail


Members of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) held a protest on August 05 outside Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court against Congress leader Jagdish Tytler over the 1984 Anti-Sikh Riots case. Session Court of Rouse Avenue Court granted anticipatory bail to Tytler on August 04 in the case of killings in the Pul Bangash area in 1984 and asked him to furnish a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh and like amount surety. The court also said that he should not tamper with the evidence. Responding to media questions, advocate, Manu Sharma, said, “He was granted anticipatory bail. Today he is supposed to comply with that order, furnish his bail bonds and produce surety…that proceeding is undertaking today…Mrs Tytler stood surety. August 11 is the next date of hearing.”
